This week we have been workng with a buddy describing different animals. We brainstormed our ideas using kidspiration and made up our own similes. We wrote our descriptions, drew our animal, then put it all in a kidpix slideshow.

Rocket goes Orienteering with Grace

Have you ever been orienteering? What do you have to do? Thanks for sharing your experiences Grace. We learned heaps. Rocket loved orienteering!

Our Caterpillar Brainstorm

Grace, Georgia and Ana brainstormed their ideas describing the caterpillar. They added a simile for each describing word.
fat - fat as a whale
stripey - stripey as a zebra
green, white and yellow - colourful as a bird
spots - spotty as a giraffe
sleepy - as sleepy as an owl
bent - bent like an N
still - still as a lizard
curved - curved like a rainbow

Grace goes Orienteering!

I went to the orienteering. I pushed in a red round thing. And then we looked at the map. Then we ran where we had to go. There were lots of mud puddles and lots of gates. And we had to go 9 laps. And then we were at the end and my Mum was happy!
Then we had some food. We drived home and I took off my shoes!
