What Have We Done?
Hunter - made a wanted poster, Regan - Discovery Time, Olivia - sorting shapes with Kidspiration, Bella - talking about pets, Liam B - reading and retelling stories.
Ben - lots of activities on the computers. Cam C - Cross country practice

So What Have We Learned?
Michael - what 2D and 3D shapes are. Cam R - what is a homonym, Ana - what is a contraction, Katelyn - what a half turn is, Olivia - what a quarter turn is, Thomas - how to comment on someone's blog. Olivia - I have learned to do spaces all the time in writing.
Now What Can We Do Next?
Retell a different legend, find out about symmetrical shapes,find other contractions and homonyms in our poems.

Yellow Hat Thinking about our 3 Dog Visitors - Ollie, Sooty and Jake.
Bella - I like how Sooty can chase a ball.
Josh - I like the way Ollie's fur feels. It is soft.
Regan - I like Sooty how he can shake hands.
Jacob - I like the way Jake can climb on the table and eat the food. You have to keep the chairs in.
Ana - I like Jake because he is soft.
Hunter - I like how Olie has a brush and comb.

Crazy Hat Day!
On the last day of Term 1 we had a Crazy Hat Day.We all wore different hats to school. Many made their own creations. We also brought a gold coin donation to raise money for our "Leaf School" in Cambodia. The money is to go towards Discovery Time materials for the new school which is now being built.
It was also Buddy Challenge Day and we all had lots of fun working with our buddies. There were many different activities and we had to work with our buddies to try and solve a variety of problems.
